Retina Reflex III - Eastman Kodak - c1961/1964

Another reflex system from the fifties borrowing the name from Kodak's rangefinder line. This model has the wind lever on camera bottom and shutter release on body front. That makes it a bit special to handle. I feel the shutter really smooth and nice to control. What is not very good is that the apertures is adjusted by a small gear below the lens. It should not move the speeds ring when you actuate it but it does. I don't know whether this got worse with age but the fact is that it doesn't bring any advantage compared to turning the aperture ring directly. Look also the   Contaflex  from Zeiss and the   Bessamatic  from Voigtlander.
