Links

Please find here some links. Case they don't work because of changes of address or whatever I would appreciate if you could send me a note.

I assumed that a links list is something intended to save the visitors time in searching things on related subjects. So I added comments and tips that of course reflect my personal evaluation and advice. Otherwise any search engine would do.

Case you know an interesting link to add to the list please send it to me.

About Photography and Photographers

Masters of Photography

Well organised and covering a good part of the Masters. Pictures are not big but if you consider that there are also articles and links it should be in your favorites as a reference site.

A History of Photography

Excelent site about the beginnings till the 1920s by Dr. Robert Leggat. Being on the web it is surprisingly more text than images. Very good source for those willing to go deeper i the subject.

About techniques and Altenative Processes

Digitaltruth

They say "Digitaltruth Photo Source aims to provide the most comprehensive photo and darkroom information available on the web" of course they don't go too far in each subject. Their list of films x developers with sugested times is impressive. If you do any darkroom work sometimes it is nice to have a clue to start with. Interesting is their list of links. Much better than this one I need to say. So have a look.

Bostick-Sullivan

Lots of information on altenative processes. Not only that you can order chemicals and other supplies. Located in USA they deliver worldwide. Serious people and very nice site.

About cameras, lenses and other equipment

CameraQuest

Maybe one of the best sites for collectors. Very complete and written with passion. Mostly focused on big brands like Leica, Contax, Linhof... Enthusiasts of the new Bessas from Voigtlander (that has nothing to do with the former German company, the brand belongs now to Cosina)

Craig Camera

Looking for owners and repair manuals. Go to Craig's first. It has also vintage books. Very good source

Zeiss Germany

Not to be confused with the camera producer Zeiss Ikon. Arm of the same group that ended production in 1972. This link might take you to a page in english, once you are there don't miss:
LENS NAMES: There you can learn about construction and other data on the Zeiss classics like Tessars and Planars
LENS PRODUCTION: It is a tour step by step of modern lens production.

Leica Company Site

It is too obvious but there it is. If you like colectibles go directly to Leica Culture.

Rollei Site

The official site of Franke & Heidecke. Interesting to see is the History although it is only some highlights it is official, no passion at all.

Rolleigraphy by Ferdi Stutterheim

To have much more information go to this one

Rollei TLR Club

From Japan for Rollei lover's pictures gallery to owner's manual. Very complete !

Rollei Fototechnic

Focus on Rollei as a company and not only in the TLR

Graflex

Excelent web site ! All you want to know about the american Graflex cameras. No tips to give just go there and enjoy.

Flash Bulbs

This is a company that buy and sell old bulbs that were used in the past. Amateurs might know the flash cubes but there is much more. Site plenty of information about usage (how to set your camera) and flashguns.

Classic Cameras

Plenty of information on many many models. Camera's pictures, pictures taken with the cameras and technical information about it. Looking to this site I realized that in mine, many times, it doesn't really give a good idea about camera and lens performance. Pictures where not taken with the intention to explore sharpness, contrast, etc. So if you want to see something on this respect: this is the site.
